Okra Pendant

As an okra lover for many years, I have written many non-fiction pieces about my favorite vegetable. One of these stories about my Grandma Watts and her tending spirit inspired the creation of an okra pendant, designed by Randi Gish, a Kentucky jewelry designer known for her quilt art jewelry.  Sculpted out of polymer clay and very light weight, the pendant hangs on a brown silk cord.  It comes packaged in a cotton drawstring bag along with a booklet featuring my okra story about Grandma, and a recipe for fried okra.

My wish is that anyone who wears this okra pendant will remember not only to tend to others' spirits, but also to tend to her own.

The okra pendant makes a unique gift for mothers, sisters, grandmas and even for cherished friends.  Now available through Mizz Kim's Creations, Ringgold, GA.  (423) 521-0292.  For those out of town, Mizz Kim takes phone orders.  She will gladly mail your pendant for an additional small mailing cost.  Also available through  Tillie Towne online and in Summerville, GA at Jane's Place.
